An Important Announcement
Dear Friends, I am not retiring! I am continuing to carve as usual, however: As I enjoyed my 65th birthday this year, I had the opportunity to reflect on my activities to date and about my future work. I have had many new carvings buzzing around in my thoughts, but I have been reluctant to introduce them and add to the burgeoning number of offerings I already support. So, It is now time for change. As of January 1st, 2005, I will stop sawing out all of the birds in the current 32-page catalogs shown above. I will finish the few birds that I have started. Those birds along with the birds that I have made ahead for stock will be available as long as they last. I estimate that a few models will be unavailable immediately. However, some may last throughout the year. As items become unavailable, I will mark them on this website as such. When ordering the remaining birds, it may be best to refer to the website, or call or email me for information. My guess is that the birds will become more desirable and collectable as availability diminishes. Already, my birds are offered, from time to time in on-line auctions. I have been assembling an exciting group of new carvings, some of which you have seen already, in my post card promotions and on this website. I hope to introduce new species, heretofore not represented, adaptations of classic decoys, and new versions of old favorites. I will to notify you with post cards as new items are created.
